Pray for Haiti

As you probably already know, Haiti experienced a huge earthquake yesterday. This place has already seen so much heartbreak in the form of natural disaster, political unrest, disease, and extreme poverty. And now a new devastation. I don't know how to understand something like this, but I do know that we are called to pray.

Please pray for this nation, for God to multiply the efforts of various relief organizations working there, for God to raise up funds for their efforts, for lives to be saved, and for people to reach out with and be touched by the love and compassion of Christ.

Pray also for the orphanage our friend Meg is involved with there, located in the neighborhood of Port au Prince.

"Arise, cry out in the night, as the watches of the night begin; pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lift up your hands to him for the lives of your children, who faint from hunger at the head of every street." Lamentations 2:19
