So I cajoled Ahnika into helping me organize what we have been calling "the pile." You can see it in the picture above--not a pretty sight.

She was especially disappointed in my abundance of singleton socks, that is, socks lacking a mate. There is actually a word for these bad boys in Chile: "huachos."

Brad Brooks rolled in on Wednesday for a surprise visit on his way to a Phish concert (is that how you spell it??). We had fun with him, and side-of-the-road couch provided for a good night's sleep (so we were told).

Chase and Brad carrying on.

Merrill and Teresa made Arepas.... Venezuelan corn cakes. So delicious! It was cool to hang with them and hear all about what God is doing in their lives and ministry.

Friday night prayer group antics.

Gabriel Lopez (brother from Chile) arrived on Friday night. It was such a blessing to see him. He's living in Hollywood right now and studying singing and hiphop dancing.

He requested a traditional Chilean meal ("chicken and rice.") We got a rostiree chicken, made white rice, cut up tomato and served it with bread and margarine. Lacking in nutritional value, overflowing in home-time comfort for Gabo.

What's happening
Green Scarf!? Check out those righteous curls.

Halloween eve. Went to San Roque with nephews and little cousins. It was kinda like Disneyland down there, and we were at a constant risk of losing each other with the dark streets and hordes of people! We didn't last long....

Otis, Luana, and Samuel on their way to gather terrible amount of candy. Great costumes, huh?

You're just lucky I wasn't there to really tell you how I feel about excessive clothing sitting in closets. I would have had no mercy Cass, NO mercy.
