Tree

This weekend we went on an epic hunt for a Christmas tree. Our quest took us into forlorn terrain far up Gibraltar. As we stood on an overlook and surveyed the burnt remnants of the Tea Fire, Chase spotted our little tree. It was detached and laying on its side, having been partially burnt by the fire. With a bit of trimming, it was perfect! We liked the charred quality, too. It reminds us that God can make beauty from ashes, and that's exactly what he did through Christ, as Isaiah 61 so beautifully recounts.

A little festive greenery for extra spice.
The landscape from which our tree was plucked.
All dressed up!
