Vermont

Vermont has treated us to many pleasures.  Probably the first great pleasure for Cassie in particular was the blossoming lupins which forced me to recite the car rules about not exiting the vehicle when it is moving at a pace greater than 10 mph.  Although we did not get into the field that day, we returned much to her chagrin to a fantastic valley of flowers where we did a little photo shoot.

Beavers are one of those few animals that I hear about, know about, and read about, however, it was here at the pond that I saw a beaver cruising for the first time.  The Beaver, "Mr. Cleaver" is not pictured here as he is a little camera shy, but the great thing is that this view is a part of our daily routine since it borders the street we live on.

The Third pleasure we will share with you is the great local farming and gardening culture.  The house we are house sitting at includes a garden with lettuce which we use for salads all the time, rhubarb which we used in a strawberry rhubarb pie which was delicious.

Fourth pleasure, particularly for Chase, the wide variety of folk.  Where else can you find someone walking through the more than public farmers market wearing a one piece tie-dye pajama getup .
